When two creative, authentic people gather everyone they love in one place, the result IS Kayla and Kelly’s wedding day
It was stylish, yes, but not in a quiet or overly restrained way. Lots of movement despite being the hottest day of the summer. People everywhere, a full room, a lot of love, and a kind of energy that kept building as the day went on. Even with a bigger guest count and a lot packed into the timeline, it never felt heavy. It felt upbeat from the start and stayed that way.
Amaterra worked especially well for that kind of day. It gave everything a clean, elevated backdrop, but the wedding itself never felt too polished or overly controlled. The setting brought in just enough structure, and then the people filled it out. That mix felt right for Kayla and Kelly.
There was a lot woven into the day, but it all felt natural. A first look, family photos, a ceremony officiated by Kelly’s sister, live strings, a moment alone right after, family-style dinner, toasts, cake, sunset photos, late night food, an outfit change, and a party bus at the end. It could have felt like a lot. Instead, it felt like momentum.
They also had a team that knew how to support that kind of energy. Your Perfect Bridesmaid handled coordination and design, Amanda Karam Floral brought in the florals, Columbia River Strings played through the ceremony and cocktail hour, Paradox handled the music later in the night, Blossom and Beauty was on hair and makeup, Banquette made the cake, Amaterra handled catering, bar, and dessert, Arden Event Collective brought in rentals, and Blue Star handled transportation.
What stayed with us most from this one was how un-stuffy it felt. The setting was beautiful, the details were dialed, and the whole day was a vibe, but none of it came at the expense of people actually having fun. A first dance to Beyoncé and Miley, a bouquet toss, late night snacks, an after party dress, a party bus exit.
