FOR RACHEL AND SPENCER, SEPTEMBER AT THE ORCHARD FELT EXACTLY AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED.

Rachel and Spencer got married in Hood River with Mt. Hood out, the light doing its thing, and that early fall feeling that makes everything look a little better. Their day felt relaxed, thoughtful, and genuinely fun. The wedding that was surreal, but still felt like actual people were having it.

The Orchard is one of those venues that gives you a lot right away. The mountain view is obviously stunning, but what I like most about it is that it still feels open and easy. It has enough structure to feel elevated, but it never feels stiff. For couples who want a wedding that looks beautiful and still has room to breathe, it’s such a good fit.

That was Rachel and Spencer’s day exactly. Nothing felt overworked. They had a first look, time with their people, a ceremony with the mountain behind them, dinner as the sun started to shift, and then that golden Hood River light. It all moved in a way that felt calm and natural, which is usually what makes a wedding photograph the best.

Their ceremony was led by Rachel’s brother, which made it feel even more personal. There was a lot of sweetness to the whole day, but it never tipped into feeling overly precious.

They also had a really good team around them, which made the whole day feel easy. Love Notes handled planning and coordination, Celilo Catering, The Orchard’s exclusive caterer, took care of dinner, Blossom Baking made the cake, Blossom and Beauty was on hair and makeup, Gorge Wedding Music kept things moving, Trellis brought the florals, and EcoShuttle got everyone where they needed to go.
